Microsoft Office 2010 beta hits ONE Million downloads

Microsoft announced:

Just two weeks after its release, the Office 2010 beta has been downloaded 1 million times.

That’s more than any other version of Office has gotten in the same period of time, Microsoft said in a blog post. But that’s not surprising, considering how much Internet use has grown in the past three years since Office 2007 hit beta.

Microsoft released the Office 2010 product line to beta on Nov 18 during the Professional Developers Conference in Los Angeles. Since then, Microsoft has announced the Office 2010 general release will come in June 2010.
